Our Beginning
On September 16, 2004 Hurricane Ivan struck the Florida Gulf Coast pummeling the area with 140mph winds and an unprecedented 13-foot storm surge. Thousands of citizens in Northwest Florida were left homeless or living in substandard conditions in the aftermath of the powerful storm. It soon became apparent that the task of returning people to safe and decent housing would be enormous. read more...
